AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 30 (UPI) -- University of Texas running back James Henry, charged with destroying or concealing stolen items, is looking forward to his day in court, says his attorney.
"The only thing he's guilty of is being a good friend," Bill Hines said in a report Friday in the Austin (Texas) American-Statesman.
Henry, a freshman who also plays safety, and teammate Andre Jones, a freshman defensive tackle, were indicted Thursday by a Travis County grand jury on charges stemming from a July 27 robbery at an Austin apartment. Jones was charged with four counts of robbery.
Both players were suspended by Coach Mack Brown after they were arrested.
A third man, former Texas player Robert Joseph, also was charged with robbery in the case.
Police arrested Henry Sept. 17 after listening to a recorded phone conversation he had with Joseph, who was in jail at the time.
