NBA: Golden State 113, Houston 94

OAKLAND, Calif., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Baron Davis scored 28 points Wednesday night and the Golden State Warriors dominated the second half to defeat Houston 113-94.

After losing their first six games of the season, the Warriors have climbed a game above the break-even mark thanks to a five-game winning streak. Houston had won its previous three games.

Golden State owned a nine-point lead at halftime and did not let Houston make a run over the final two quarters. Stephen Jackson added 20 points and both Al Harrington and Monta Ellis had 18.

Harrington also battled Houston's Yao Ming inside and limited the Rockets' center to 10 points. Yao had scored 31 in his previous outing at Phoenix.

Mike James led Houston with 19.
