Lickliter leads by 5 at halfway mark

WINTER GARDEN, Fla., Nov. 30 (UPI) -- Frank Lickliter shot a 4-under-par 68 Friday to keep his lead halfway through at the PGA Tour National Qualifying Tournament in Florida.

Lickliter was at 24-under-par 192 for a five-shot lead over Jason Allred after three rounds of the six-round event. Allred shot a 64.

Tommy Gainey (65) was in third place at 16-under, three strokes behind Allred; Jim McGovern (68) held fourth at 14-under 202 and Travis Perkins (69) was another stroke back at 13-under.

Lickliter, a two-time winner on the tour, fired 10-under-par 62s in each of the first two rounds on courses at the Orange County National Golf Center in Winter Garden.
