ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 28 (UPI) -- A goal and an assist from James Sheppard Wednesday sent Minnesota to a 3-1 win over Phoenix, ending the Coyotes' four-game winning streak.

Stephane Veilleux and Marian Gaborik also scored for the Wild, winners of two straight. Gaborik has scored eight goals in his last nine games.

Minnesota's Pavol Demitra returned after missing time with a groin injury, but the Wild are still without Mikko Koivu, Derek Boogaard, Kurtis Foster, Wes Walz and Petteri Nummelin.

Ilja Bryzgalov stopped 25 shots for Phoenix, but he suffered his first loss since being acquired off waivers from Anaheim Nov. 17.

Gaborik scored the game's key goal, coming through on a breakaway with 2:31 remaining in the second period to make it 2-0.
