CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Drew Brees passed for three touchdowns and ran for another Sunday, fueling New Orleans' 31-6 win over the Carolina Panthers, who have lost five straight.

Brees passed for 260 yards to nine receivers, including Marques Tolston, who had seven catches for 93 yards and a touchdown.

The Saints (5-6) remained two games behind first-place Tampa Bay in the NFC South. The Saints and Bucs clash next week.

Billy Miller and Lance Moore also caught touchdown passes for New Orleans.

Carolina's David Carr passed for just 95 yards and was intercepted twice.

Carr, who started after Vinny Testaverde was scratched because of a sore back, was replaced in the fourth quarter by rookie Matt Moore.
