
COLUMBIA, S.C., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Mark Buchholz kicked a 35-yard field goal as time ran out Saturday to give 22nd-ranked Clemson a 23-21 victory over South Carolina.
Cullen Harper completed 28-of-39 passes for 229 yards, with one touchdown and one interception for Clemson (9-3, 5-3 ACC), which finished the regular season with five wins in its final six games. James Davis rushed for 122 yards and Aaron Kelly had nine receptions for 134 yards.
Blake Mitchell passed for 284 yards and three touchdowns with 18-of-31 completions, as South Carolina (6-6, 3-5 SEC) finished its regular season on a five-game losing streak.
Kenny McKinley caught eight passes for 125 yards and two TDs and Dion LeCorn had five receptions for 65 yards and one TD for the Gamecocks.
