CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Matt Ryan threw three touchdown passes Saturday, guiding 16th-ranked Boston College to a 28-14 victory in the regular-season finale for both schools.

BC's first victory against Miami in 23 years -- Doug Flutie tossed an extraordinary touchdown pass to win that 1984 contest -- set up an ACC title game against No. 8 Virginia Tech next Saturday.

Ryan completed 26 of 43 passes for 369 yards with two interceptions.

BC built a 14-0 halftime lead, and Ryan's third touchdown throw of the contest and 28th this season produced a 21-14 lead with just over 11 minute left.

Rich Gunnell made nine catches for 135 yards and Andre Callender scored once on 15 carries for 96 yards as the Eagles (10-2, 6-2 ACC) clinched the Atlantic Division title.

Kyle Wright was 23-of-42 for 198 yards with two touchdowns and one interception for the Hurricanes (5-7, 2-6), who suffered their first losing season in 10 years.

They ended with a three-game losing streak.
