ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Pascal Leclaire recorded his club record sixth shutout this season Friday afternoon as the Columbus Blue Jackets downed the Minnesota Wild 4-0.
Columbus' Michael Peca and Rick Nash had a goal and an assist apiece.
David Vyborny and Dan Fritsche also scored, and Leclaire stopped all 32 Minnesota shots he faced for his seventh career shutout.
The only goal he needed came from Peca on the power play at 3:27 of the first period following assists by Nash and Nikolai Zherdev.
Peca missed the previous six games because of a groin injury.
Goalie Niklas Backstrom yielded four goals on 29 shots for the Wild, have dropped five of their last seven games and 10 of 14 overall.
On the power play, the Blue Jackets went 2-for-5, and the Wild failed to convert any of their nine chances.
