NHL: Buffalo 4, Montreal 2

BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Buffalo jumped to a 2-0 lead, let Montreal catch up, and then scored two more times to beat the Canadiens 4-2 Friday.

Thomas Vanek fired in the go-ahead goal with 8:33 remaining in the third period.

Tim Connolly had a goal and assist for the Sabres. Derek Roy also scored for Buffalo, giving him three goals and two assists in his last four games.

Sabres goalie Ryan Miller made 30 saves.

Christopher Higgins and Tomas Plekanec scored for Montreal.
