Ravens' Rolle tells of epileptic seizures

BALTIMORE, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Baltimore cornerback Samari Rolle, who has missed six games but is back in the lineup, disclosed that he has had three epileptic seizures this season.

Rolle was back at practice Wednesday and is expected to play Sunday at San Diego.

A report on the Ravens' Web site says the seizures kept Rolle sidelined while doctors worked to get him the proper medication to control the neurological disorder.

Rolle, 31, said he had two seizures before a game against the Arizona Cardinals in September, and another before the Ravens left for a game in Pittsburgh in early November.

"I'm feeling very good … It's just been hard on my wife and my family, and I'm just happy to be back playing," Rolle said.

The support of his teammates has been a great help, Rolle said.

"The season hasn't gone how we wanted it," he said. "Most people are asking, 'Why are you coming back, you're 4-6?' But, these are my teammates. I love playing, and it's time to come back. I can play, I can continue to play and I will do so as long as I'm healthy."
