BUFFALO, N.Y., Nov. 22 (UPI) -- The Buffalo Sabres scored three first-period goals Wednesday and held on to defeat the Ottawa Senators 4-2.
Derek Roy, Mike Ryan, Alex Kotalik and Paul Gaustad scored for Buffalo, which has won two in a row after a three-game skid.

Daniel Alfredsson and Dany Heatley scored for Ottawa, which has lost two of its last three contests.
The Sabres doubled Ottawa's shots on goal, 14-7, during their first-period run.
