NHL: Minnesota 4, Colorado 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Matt Foy had a goal and an assist Sunday night to lead the Minnesota Wild past the Colorado Avalanche, 4-1.

A three-goal Minnesota second period erased a 1-1 tie.

Minnesota's other goals were scored by Aaron Voros, Stephane Veilleux and Brent Burns.

James Sheppard had two assists, and goalie Josh Harding made 27 saves on 28 Colorado shots for the Wild, who have won two of three.

Colorado's only goal came from Milan Hejduk (unassisted) at 15:57 of the second.

Goaltender Peter Budaj yielded four goals on 26 Minnesota shots, as the Avalanche lost for the third time in their last four contests.

On the power play, Colorado went 0-for-4, while Minnesota went 0-for-2.
