JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- David Garrard Sunday threw two touchdown passes Sunday, helping Jacksonville down the San Diego Chargers 24-17.
Playing for the first time since suffering a high-ankle sprain Oct. 22 against Indianapolis, the five-year veteran was 15-for-24 passing for 189 yards.
Maurice Jones-Drew rushed for one score and Fred Taylor gained 85 yards on 20 attempts as the Jaguars got their second straight victory to remain a game back of the Colts in the AFC South Division.
San Diego's Philip Rivers went 22-for-40 for 309 yards with one touchdown and two costly interceptions.
LaDainian Tomlinson scored once on 16 carries for 62 yards, and also caught five passes for 93 yards for the Chargers, who lost for the second time in their last three games.
They failed to build upon their 23-21 win against the Colts last Sunday when they intercepted Peyton Manning six times.
