INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Adam Vinatieri hit a 24-yard field goal in the last seconds of the game Sunday, booting the Indianapolis Colts past the Kansas City Chiefs 13-10.
It was redemption, of sorts, for Vinatieri, who missed from 49 and 38 yards earlier in the game, although he was good on a 27-yard attempt. He also failed to make a potential game-winning 29-yarder last week against San Diego.
Peyton Manning completed only 16 of 32 passes for 163 yards and one interception as Indianapolis (8-2) broke a two-game losing streak. Manning did not throw a touchdown for the first time since December 2006.
Joseph Addai rushed 21 times for 72 yards and the Colts' only touchdown, while Reggie Wayne caught four passes for 75 yards.
Brodie Croyle made his first start for Kansas City (4-6), completing 19 of 27 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown.
Chiefs kicker Dave Raynor made a 47-yard field goal but missed from 43 yards and had a 45-yarder bounce off an upright.
