LOS ANGELES, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Ilya Bryzgalov, playing his first game with his new team, recorded his first shutout this season as Phoenix nipped Los Angeles 1-0 Saturday.

The 27-year-old, seven-year veteran was claimed before Saturday's contest after being waived by Anaheim Friday.

The game's only goal was scored by Phoenix right wing Shane Doan on the power play at 11:24 of the second period.

Bryzgalov stopped all 27 shots he faced to notch his third career shutout as the Coyotes snapped a three-game losing streak.

His counterpart, Jason LaBarbera, stopped 37 of 38 shots for the Kings, who suffered their third loss in a row.

In man-advantage situations, Phoenix went 1-for-3, while the Kings failed to convert on any of their five opportunities.
