COL FB: Michigan State 35, Penn State 31

EAST LANSING, Mich., Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Brian Hoyer passed for 257 yards and four touchdowns Saturday afternoon to lead the Michigan State Spartans to a 35-31 win over 22nd-ranked Penn State.

Jehuu Caulcrick led the ground attack for Michigan State (7-5, 3-5 Big Ten), rushing for 99 yards and one touchdown. Devin Thomas caught seven passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns.

Rodney Kinlaw rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns for Penn State (8-4, 4-4), while Anthony Morelli completed just 16-of-35 passes for 188 yards and one TD.

Penn State led, 17-7, at halftime and 24-7 early in the third quarter, but Michigan State cut the gap to 24-21 two minute into the final period.
