LOS ANGELES, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Ryan Getzlaf snapped a tie and ignited Anaheim's four-goal third period Thursday night, as the Ducks pulled away to defeat Los Angeles, 6-3.

Anaheim swept a home-and-home series with Los Angeles and won its third straight contest with a late-game surge that was touched off when Getzlaf's rebound shot bested Jean-Sebastien Aubin 2:08 into the third period.

That gave the Ducks a 3-2 lead and they expanded on it, with goals by Brad May and Samuel Pahlsson.

Patrick O'Sullivan gave Los Angeles some slight hope with a goal 3:19 from the final buzzer, but Rob Niedermayer scored into an empty net with 42 seconds to go.

Anaheim has defeated Los Angeles in three of their four meetings this season.
