COL BKB: Texas A&M 81, Texas-El Paso 76

COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Josh Carter put Texas A&M in front for good with 2:14 remaining Wednesday as the No. 15 Aggies rallied past Texas-El Paso 81-76.

The Miners led by 10 five minutes deep into the second half before Texas A&M went on a 17-6 run that gave put them in front.

The game remained close, however, and was tied at 68-68 when Carter hit a three-pointer with 2:14 to play for the last of his team-high 23 points.

Texas-El Paso's Randy Culpepper hit a three-point shot with three seconds left to bring the Miners within three, but Joseph Jones broke free for a dunk just before the buzzer to clinch the win.

The Aggies improved to 3-0, while Texas-El Paso fell to 2-1.

Jones added 15 points and Texas A&M shot 50 percent from the field. Texas-El Paso was led by Stefon Jackson with 29.
