ASHBURN, Va., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Washington Redskins wide receiver Brandon Lloyd broke his collarbone in practice Wednesday, the team reported.

Lloyd will be sidelined when the Redskins meet the Dallas Cowboys Sunday. His status after that is uncertain.

The 26-year-old receiver will not need surgery, a team official said.

Lloyd was injured while diving for a pass in the end zone.

"He caught a ball and hit the ground," Coach Joe Gibbs said.
