NBA: Seattle 104, Miami 95

MIAMI, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Chris Wilcox scored 20 points Wednesday, pushing Seattle to its first victory of the season, 104-95 over Miami.

The SuperSonics had lost their first eight games of the year, the worst start in team history. The struggles came as rumors heated up that the team would be moving to Oklahoma City.

Damien Wilkins added 19 points and rookie Kevin Durant had 18, while Delonte West pitched in 16 from off the bench.

The result spoiled the season debut of Miami's Dwayne Wade, who made his return from shoulder surgery. He did not start, but scored 15 points in 24 minutes. Miami has won only once this year.

Miami was led by 19 points from Ricky Davis.

Seattle saw a 21-point lead during the third period reduced to 12 by the end of the quarter. The Sonics then opened the fourth on an 11-0 run.
