COLLEGE STATION, Texas, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Josh Carter, Joseph Jones and DeAndre Jordan combined for 40 points Tuesday as 15th-ranked Texas A&M ousted Oral Roberts 67-53 from the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Carter had a game-high 15 points, while Jones added 13 points and Jordan, a freshman, scored 12 on 5-for-5 shooting from the floor to go with eight boards.

The Aggies, 2-0 under new head coach Mark Turgeon, next play UTEP, which beat Texas A&M Corpus-Christi. Turgeon took over after Billy Gillispie moved on to Kentucky following a school-record 27-win season.

Adam Liberty managed a team-high 13 points for Oral Roberts (1-1), but the Golden Eagles couldn't recover from a late first-half run that left them down 20 at halftime.

Robert Jarvis scored 12 points, but made just 4-of-19 field goals.
