NFL: Seattle 24, San Francisco 0

SEATTLE, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Matt Hasselbeck passed for 278 yards and a two touchdowns Monday, directing the Seattle Seahawks' 24-0 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Coach Mike Nolan was on the San Francisco sidelines despite the loss of his father Dick, who passed away Sunday at age 75 with prostate cancer and Alzheimer's disease.

Maurice Morris, playing for the injured Shaun Alexander, rushed for 87 yards and a TD for the Seahawks (5-4), who lead the NFC West by one game over the Arizona Cardinals. Alexander was sidelined with a left knee injury.

D.J. Hackett had eight receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown, while Will Heller also caught a TD pass for Seattle, which recorded its fifth Monday night shutout in franchise history.

Alex Smith was just 12 of 28 passing for 114 yards for the 49ers (2-7), who lost their seventh straight game..

Frank Gore rushed for 72 yards on 13 carries for the 49ers and Arnaz Battle had four receptions for 78 yards.
