GREEN BAY, Wis., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Brett Favre threw for three TDs Sunday and became the second NFL quarterback to pass for at least 60,000 yards, as the Green Bay Packers beat Minnesota 34-0.

The 16-year veteran passed for 351 yards, completing 33-of-46 passes to help the Packers win for the sixth straight time. He joined Dan Marino in the 60,000-yard club.

The Packers quickly turned the contest into a rout by expanding a 10-0 halftime lead to 27-0 with touchdowns on two of their first three possessions in the third quarter.

Running back Ryan Grant scored once and gained 119 yards on 25 carries, while four receivers had four receptions each, as the Packers improved to 7-1.

Minnesota's Brooks Bollinger was 16-for-26 for 176 yards and one interception.

Star rookie running back Adrian Peterson, who left the contest in the third quarter with a knee injury, was limited to just 45 yards on 11 attempts, one week after rushing for an NFL single-game record 296 yards against San Diego.

Late Sunday, Peterson told The Minneapolis Star-Tribune he thinks his right knee was sprained.

"I was in pain there for a minute there and it slowly went away," he told the newspaper. "Right now, I'm banking it's a sprained knee."

Peterson will undergo an MRI Monday morning.
