SEMMES, Ala., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Paula Creamer closed with a 4-under 68 Sunday to win the LPGA's Tournament of Champions at Semmes, Ala., by eight strokes over Birdie Kim.
Creamer, who started the fourth and final round with a six-stroke advantage, ended the tournament at 20-under 268, one shy of the tournament record established last year by Lorena Ochoa.
Creamer's second first-place finish of this season was worth $150,000.
"I feel good," Creamer said. "I played good this week (and) gave myself a lot of chances. I stayed really confident with myself because I believed I could do it."
She joined Ochoa and Suzann Pettersen as the tour's only multiple winners in 2007.
Kim finished 12-under 276 as she, too, shot 4-under 68 Sunday.
Natalie Gulbis (68), Annika Sorenstam (70) and Pat Hurst (72) shared third place at 10-under 278.
