COL BKB: Stanford 97, Northwestern St. 58

STANFORD, Calif., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Lawrence Hill had 15 points and four rebounds Saturday night, as 21st-ranked Stanford easily beat Northwestern State, 97-58.

Drew Shiller scored 15 and Fred Washington and Mitch Johnson both finished with 14 points and four assists for the Cardinal (2-0). Kenny Brown scored 10 for Stanford.

Trey Gilder led Northwestern State (0-2) with 14 points. C.J. Clark and Gerrell Thomas each put up eight points for the Demons.

The Cardinal -- who led, 57-24, at the half -- shot 54 percent (34-of-63) from the floor.
