COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Juice Williams threw four touchdown passes Saturday afternoon, as Illinois knocked off the top-ranked and previously unbeaten Ohio State Buckeyes, 28-21.
Williams threw for 140 yards on 12-of-22 passing and also ran for 70 yards for the Fighting Illini (8-3, 5-2 Big Ten), who defeated a nationally top-ranked team for the first time since they beat Michigan in 1956.
Marques Wilkins, Michael Hoomanawanui, Brian Gamble and Jacob Willis all caught touchdown passes from Williams in the victory.
Todd Boeckman struggled behind center, completing 13-of-23 passes with no touchdowns and three interceptions for the Buckeyes (10-1, 6-1), who suffered their first loss of the season and saw their 28-game regular season win streak end.
