UNIONDALE, N.Y., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Miroslav Satan scored the winner Tuesday as the New York Islanders tallied three goals in the final period to beat the New York Rangers 3-2.

Ruslan Fedotenko had a goal and an assist, and Trent Hunter also scored for the Islanders, who have won their last three games.

Rick DiPietro started in goal for the seventh straight game and stopped 28 of 30 shots, three days after he was hit in the right eye by the stick of Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby.

Paul Mara had a goal and an assist, and Chris Drury also scored for the Rangers, who had a four-game winning streak halted.

Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist gave up three goals after posting three shutouts in his previous six games. He ended the night with 24 saves.
