ANAHEIM, Calif., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Marty Turco stopped 19 shots and five Dallas players scored Monday as the Stars blanked the Anaheim Ducks 5-0.
It was Turco's 31st career shutout but the veteran downplayed the accomplishment, noting "we're a defensive team, so that's a shutout that everybody feels good about."
Mike Ribeiro, Jere Lehtinen, Jussi Jokinen, Brenden Morrow and Chris Conner all scored for Dallas, which ended a three-game skid. Sergei Zubov added three assists, while Lehtinen and Ribeiro had two assists and Jokinen added one.
Jean-Sebastien Giguere started in goal for the Ducks, but gave up four goals on 19 shots and was replaced by Ilya Bryzgalov, who saved four of the five shots he saw in the third period.
The defending Stanley Cup champion Ducks have lost five of their last seven despite winning two in a row coming in.
