COL BKB: Kentucky 67, Central Arkansas 40

LEXINGTON, Ky., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Joe Crawford scored 20 points Tuesday as No. 22 Kentucky dispatched Central Arkansas 67-40 in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic.

Billy Gillispie, who spent the past three seasons coaching at Texas A&M, inherited a Wildcats team that finished 22-12 under Tubby Smith last season. The Wildcats beat Villanova in the NCAA Tournament before losing to Kansas in the second round and Smith wound up leaving Kentucky for the University of Minnesota.

Mark Coury added 13 points for Kentucky (1-0), which meets Gardner-Webb Wednesday.

The losing Bears (0-1), who shot a miserable 20 percent from the floor and will now face Alabama A&M in a consolation matchup.
