NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Washington safety LaRon Landry and Philadelphia defensive tackle LaJuan Ramsey were fined Monday for unnecessary roughness infractions they committed Sunday.

Both were penalized for impermissible use of their helmets.

Landry was fined $16,764 for roughing the passer after making helmet-to-helmet contact with New York Jets quarterback Kellen Clemens in a 23-20 Washington overtime victory.

Ramsey was fined $21,176 for spearing Dallas Cowboys running back Julius Jones in a 38-17 Eagles loss Sunday night.

This isn't the first time these players have been fined this season. Landry was fined $7,500 for a pair of unnecessary roughness calls Oct. 21 against Arizona and Ramsey was fined $5,000 Oct. 14 for a roughing the passer call against the Jets.
