LOS ANGELES, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Jeremy Roenick's 499th career goal was the game winner Saturday night, as the San Jose Sharks beat Los Angeles, 3-1.

San Jose also got a goal each from Joe Pavelski and Jonathan Cheechoo.

Joe Thornton assisted twice, while goaltender Evgeni Nabokov finished with 24 saves on 25 shots for the Sharks, who have won two of their last three games.

Los Angeles got its only goal from Brad Stuart at 5:28 of the first.

Goalie Jason LaBarbera was beaten three times on 28 shots for the Kings, who beat the Sharks, 5-2, Friday night in the front end of this home-and-home series.

On the power play, San Jose scored on its only chance, and the Kings went 0-for-4.
