NFL: Washington 23, N.Y. Jets 20 (OT)

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Shaun Suisham kicked five field goals, including one in overtime Sunday afternoon, as the Washington Redskins beat the New York Jets, 23-20.

Suisham equaled a franchise record with his fifth three-pointer with 5:28 left in the extra period.

Washington running back Clinton Portis scored a touchdown on a season-high 196 yards on 36 carries.

Quarterback Jason Campbell went 12-for-23 passing for 142 yards, no touchdowns and one interception, as the Redskins bounced back from a 52-7 loss last Sunday at New England.

They withstood an 86-yard return for a touchdown by New York's Leon Washington on the opening kickoff.

Kellen Clemens -- making his second NFL start after regular starter Chad Pennington was benched -- went 23-for-42 for 226 yards with one touchdown, and Mike Nugent booted two field goals for the Jets, who sank to 1-8 this season.
