
OTTAWA, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Mike Fisher's second goal of the game, late in the third period Saturday night, led the Ottawa Senators past the Boston Bruins, 3-2.
Fisher's fifth goal of the season came on the power play at 13:49 of the third. He scored his fourth goal of the season at 4:16 of the first.
Dany Heatley scored Ottawa's other goal on the power play at 10:14 of the second.
Joseph Corvo assisted on all three goals, while goaltender Martin Gerber turned away 17-of-19 shots, as the surging Senators extended their winning streak to six games.
Chuck Kobasew scored both Boston goals and goalie Tim Thomas was beaten three times on 45 shots for the Bruins, who have lost dropped three of five overall.
On the power play, Ottawa scored three times on five chances, and Boston went 0-for-1, as the Senators committed only one penalty.
