Harrison available for Colts-Patriots game

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Veteran Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Marvin Harrison is available for Sunday’s historic contest against the New England Patriots.

The eight-time Pro Bowl choice will suit up, but remains iffy after he was held out of Friday’s practice.

He has missed two of the past three games with a bruised left knee.

Coach Tony Dungy told the Indianapolis Star Harrison has been cleared to play, but his playing time likely will be limited.

“We really want him to be ready coming down the stretch,” Dungy told the newspaper. “If the doctors say we really have a much better chance of him being healthy down the stretch by sitting out, then we’ll sit him out.”

The contest will be the first in 88 seasons featuring two teams with at least 7-0 records.

New England is 8-0 after last Sunday’s 52-7 decimation of the Washington Redskins, and the Colts are 7-0 after a 31-7 victory at Carolina.
