PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Philadelphia Eagles Coach Andy Reid said Friday he has no plans to step down despite his family turmoil.

Reid's sons -- Garrett, 24, and Brett, 22 -- were sent to jail Thursday by Montgomery County (Pa.) Common Pleas Judge Steven T. O'Neill on separate gun-and-drug-related crimes committed on the same day in January.

New charges were filed Friday against Garrett Reid after drugs were found in his jail cell.

"I know this is a big story for everybody and I respect that," Andy Reid told reporters Friday before practice. "On the other hand, I can't go into questioning about it at this time. As parents we have a huge concern for our boys and this is been a battle that (he and his wife, Tammy) have dealt with here for a few years."

Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor said jail guards were tipped off by Garrett Reid's cellmate, WCAU-TV reported. Garrett had smuggled the pills into jail, saying he did not want to be there without the.

The Eagles face Dallas Monday night.
