ATLANTA, Nov. 1 (UPI) -- Sean Glennon threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score Thursday as No. 13 Virginia Tech downed Georgia Tech 27-3.

Glennon broke a 3-3 tie early in the second period with a two-yard run that ended a 59-yard drive. He then hit Justin Harper with a 40-yard scoring throw that gave the Hokies a 17-3 halftime advantage.

Josh Morgan caught a 71-yard throw from Glennon in the third period.

The Hokies intercepted Georgia Tech quarterback Taylor Bennett four times.

Virginia Tech improved to 7-2 for the year and is 5-1 in the Coastal Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Hokies can capture the division if they win the remainder of their games.

Georgia Tech fell to 5-4 on the year and to 2-4 in conference action.

The Hokies bounced back from a disappointing loss to second-ranked Boston College last week, a game Virginia Tech appeared to have won before the Eagles scored two late touchdowns.
