
OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 31 (UPI) -- Carlos Boozer poured in 32 points and grabbed 15 rebounds Tuesday as the Utah Jazz jumped on the Golden State Warriors for a 117-96 season-opening road victory.
The Jazz also got 24 points and eight assists from Deron Williams, 18 points from Ronnie Brewer, 16 from Paul Millsap, and nine points and 10 rebounds from Andrei Kirilenko.
Golden State was led by Baron Davis' 25 points and 10 assists. The Warriors also got 17 points apiece from Monta Ellis and Mickael Pietrus.
The Warriors led 30-28 after the first quarter but the Jazz took over from there, leading 62-51 at the half and outscoring the Warriors 55-45 in the second half.
"We played a lot better than I anticipated," said Utah head coach Jerry Sloan. "A lot of guys played really well."
