NHL: Pittsburgh 4, Minnesota 2

ST. PAUL, Minn., Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Evgeni Malkin scored two goals and an assist, and Sidney Crosby added one goal and three assists Tuesday as the Pittsburgh Penguins beat the Minnesota Wild 4-2.

Petr Sykora scored on the power play with a feed from Crosby with 9:55 remaining to break a 2-2 tie. Four minutes later, Crosby beat Minnesota goalie Josh Harding to seal Pittsburgh's fourth straight win.

Dany Sabourin stopped 27 shots for the victory.

Stephane Veilleux and Brian Rolston scored for the Wild, who lost for the first time at home this season and are winless in their last four games (0-3-1) after starting the year 7

Josh Harding made 23 saves in defeat.

Minnesota was without forwards Marian Gaborik and Pavol Demitra and starting goaltender Niklas Backstrom, who is hobbled by groin injuries.
