NHL: Edmonton 3, Anaheim 2 (SO)

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Ales Hemsky had two goals Sunday night -- including the game-winner in a shootout -- as the Edmonton Oilers beat Anaheim, 3-2.

Edmonton was down, 2-1, when Andrew Cogliano tied it with 1:27 left in regulation. After a scoreless overtime, Oilers' goalie Mathieu Garon turned away shots by Anaheim's Corey Perry and Chris Kunitz in the shoout, while Sam Gagner and Hemsky scored for Edmonton.

Garon finished with 30 saves on 32 shots, as the Oilers won for just the third time in its last 10 games.

Perry had a goal and an assist for Anaheim, which has lost four straight.

Hemsky opened the scoring at 12:41 of the first with his third goal in his last three games.
