NFL: Detroit 16, Chicago 7

CHICAGO, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Kevin Jones ran for 105 yards and one touchdown on 23 carries for Detroit as the Lions beat the Chicago Bears 16-7 Sunday.

The Lions (5-2) forced four turnovers in the game against the defending NFC champion Bears.

Detroit quarterback Jon Kitna completed 24-of-35 passes for 268 yards, while Roy Williams caught eight passes for 77 yards and Shaun McDonald had six receptions for 64 yards.

Jason Hanson also landed three field goals for the Lions.

Chicago's Brian Griese completed 22-of-40 passes for 208 yards and one touchdown as the reigning NFC offensive player of the week, but was also intercepted four times.

Tight end Greg Olsen caught six passes and had the only score for the Bears (3-5).
