The 35-year-old native of Tucson, Ariz. rode two winners at the 24th annual horseracing event.
He guided Indian Blessing to victory in the Grey Goose Juvenile Fillies and Midnight Lute in the TVG Breeders Cup Sprint, and also finished third aboard Octave in the Emirates Airline Breeders Cup Distaff.
It is his second Shoemaker Award since it was established in 2003.
The victories this weekend increased his Breeders Cup total to four, and his mounts have earned $7,047,750 making him 13th-best all-time.
The award is named after horseracing great Bill Shoemaker, who had 8,833 career victories before he retired, including 11 Triple Crown wins.
