
HONOLULU, Oct. 28 (UPI) -- Colt Brennan threw six touchdown passes Saturday night, as No. 14 Hawaii routed New Mexico State 50-13.
In the new ratings out Sunday, Hawaii moved up to No. 11.
Brennan -- a potential Heisman Trophy candidate -- completed 29-of-46 passes for 425 yards, with one interception. He threw for three scores in the first half, as the Warriors (8-0, 5-0 WAC) built a 23-3 halftime advantage.
Brennan has thrown for 2,820 yards, 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions this season.
Ryan Grice-Mullen had 13 catches for three touchdowns and a career-high 195 yards for Hawaii, and Davone Bess caught seven passes for 112 yards and two scores.
NMSU quarterback Chase Holbrook went 37-for-52 for 328 yards, with one touchdown and two interceptions.
Derek Dubois made eight catches for 106 yards, while Weston Neiman caught a touchdown pass for the Aggies (4-5, 1-3), who have lost three of four, and sank to 0-4 all-time against Hawaii.
