NHL: Montreal 6, Boston 1

MONTREAL, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- Cristobal Huet stopped 31 of 32 shots and the Montreal Canadians scored three goals in the third period Monday to beat the Boston Bruins, 6-1.

Alex Kovalev had a goal and an assist and Mikhail Grabovski scored his first NHL goal. Chris Higgins, Steve Begin, Patrice Brisebois and Andrei Markov also scored goals and Saku Koivu and Tomas Plekanec each added two asists.

Dennis Wideman scored the Bruins' only goal. Boston's four-game win streak ended as Manny Fernandez allowed all six goals on just 20 shots in the loss.

Brisebois's goal with 1:45 gone in the third period gave the Canadians a 4-0 lead. Wideman,s goal came at t 6:41 of the third period.
