NHL: San Jose 3, Nashville 0

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Evgeni Nabokov made 22 saves Saturday night in his first shutout of the season, as the San Jose Sharks beat Nashville, 3-0.

Jeremy Roenick, Patrick Marleau and Milan Michalek scored, as the Sharks earned their first home victory of the season and picked up their third win in their last five games overall.

Chris Mason made 17 saves for the Predators, who lost their fifth straight.

Roenick opened the scoring with a power-play goal at 4:52 of the second period. Marleau made it 2-0 with 6:21 left in regulation and Michalek scored on an empty net in the closing seconds.
