COMMERCE CITY, Colo., Oct. 21 (UPI) -- Robbie Findley scored the lone goal Saturday in the 87th minute, as Real Salt Lake beat Colorado, 1-0, ending the Rapids’ playoff hopes.

RSL (6-15-9) broke a two-game skid with a win in its regular-season finale, but still finished in last place in the Western Conference.

Colorado (9-13-8) needed at least a win to maintain its faint playoff hopes after splitting its last four games.

The Rapids were stopped on their six shots by RSL net-minder Nick Romano.

His Colorado counterpart, Bouna Coundoul, needed to stop just three shots, but allowed Findley's game-winner.
