ATLANTA, Oct. 16 (UPI) -- Suspended Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick is being sued by Wachovia Bank for non-payment on a $1.3 million loan on a wine store and restaurant.
Vick, who faces state criminal charges for dogfighting in Virginia after pleading guilty to federal conspiracy charges last month, reportedly defaulted on the loan granted Atlanta Wine & Spirits and the adjoining Tasting Room Restaurant in May, 2006, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution said.
Vick and his business partner, Gerald Frank Jenkins, opened the businesses in East Point, Ga., in March.
The lawsuit is the latest trouble for Vick, who has been sued for at least $4.3 million by two other banks since he was indicted on federal charges related to dogfighting in August.
Royal Bank of Canada sued for $2.3 million and 1st Source Bank of South Bend, Ind., sued Vick over a $2 million loan.
