NHL: Minnesota 2, Anaheim 0

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Jonathan Harding recorded his second career shutout Sunday night, as the Minnesota Wild beat the Anaheim Ducks, 2-0.

Brian Rolston and Mark Parrish scored for Minnesota in the second period.

Harding stopped all 37 shots he faced, as the Wild won their fifth straight game to start the new NHL season.

The teams split four games last season, with both winning twice on their home ice.

Goalie Jean-Sebastien Giguere was beaten two times on 25 Minnesota shots, as the Ducks suffered the third loss in their last four games.

On the power play, Anaheim went 0-for-8, and Minnesota was 0-for-4.
