NFL: New England 48, Dallas 27

IRVING, Texas, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Tom Brady fired five touchdown passed Sunday, igniting a 48-27 New England victory over Dallas, which fell from the ranks of the NFL's unbeaten.

The win also protected the Patriots' perfect season, putting them at 6-0.

Brady also became the first quarterback in NFL history to throw at least three touchdown passes in each of the first six games of a season. He completed 31 of 46 passes for 388 yards against the Cowboys.

Wes Welker caught 11 passes for a career-high 124 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while both Donte Stallworth and Randy Moss each scored a touchdown for New England, which managed 448 yards of total offense.

Tony Romo threw 29 passes, completing 18 for 199 yards and an interception for the Cowboys (5-1), who were looking to be 6-0 for the first time since 1983.
