Tommie Harris' wife dies

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Guillermo Barros Schelotto scored in the 86th minute Saturday night, as the Columbus Crew beat New England, 3-2, in an MLS match at Foxborough, Mass.
Despite stopping a two-game slide, the Crew (8-11-10) was eliminated from the playoff chase, after Chicago played to a scoreless draw at RFK Stadium with D.C. United, leaving Columbus out of the playoff picture.
The Crew also got goals from Eddie Gaven in the 61st minute and Stefani Miglioranzi in the 77th minute.
New England's goals came from Taylor Twellman in the 26th minute and Steve Ralston in the 83rd minute.
The Revolution (14-8-7) had already qualified for the post-season before their second loss in a row.
