Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MOSCOW, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- Russian Sultan Ibragimov defeated former world champion Evander Holyfield in the World Boxing Organization title bout in Moscow.
The defeat Saturday ended Holyfield’s Rocky-like bid to reclaim the world title at age 44, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Sunday.
Holyfield fell far short, the newspaper said, losing 111-117 to 32-year-old Ibragimov, and rarely getting in more than a few punches at a time.
The aging former champion has a record of 5-5-1 against lackluster opponents since winning his last title.
A late-career win is not completely unprecedented, however. George Foreman lost to Holyfield at age 42, and then came back to win the championship three years later.
